WHEATHAMPSTEAD MEMORIAL HALL

Owned and managed by the Wheathampstead Parish Council

The ideal venue for Wedding receptions, Supper dances, Public meetings, Parties, Social evenings, Lectures, Club meetings, Antique & Craft fairs, Dances & Discos, Revues & Shows, Plays, Drama festivals, Conferences, Film shows, Dance & Keep fit classes etc.

The Hall was built in 1961 and extended in 1979. Access is provided for the disabled. Large Car Park alongside. The Hall includes:

MAIN HALL 36' x 41' (11m x 12.5m)

Capacity - stage productions 170; dances 250 (including Hewitt Room); dinners 150 (including Hewitt Room).

STAGE - 28' x 17' with direct service entrance to car park. Equipped with full stage lighting. Fitted projection screen

HEWITT ROOM 20' x 30' (6m x 9m) with full length windows that have a panoramic view over open countryside and across the Lea Valley to Lamer Woods. This room is served by a bar counter and is separated from the main hall by folding doors. Capacity - seated 50; informal 75. Fitted projection screen.

KITCHEN - 20' x 17' (6m x 5m) fully tiled (with direct access to Main Hall and Hewitt Room). equipped with 10 gas rings, 2 large ovens, fridge-freezer, large hot cupboard, adequate sinks, preparation tables and approximately 200 cups and saucers.

THE GREEN ROOM - 11' x 18' (3.5m x 5.5m) suitable for small meetings
